Approximation: A representation of something that is not exact, but still close enough to be useful.
Equal: Having the same quantity, measure, or value as another.
In the end: A not exactly same value, or a more or less similarity between n somethings.

In maths, approximately equal is a function of it’s own. One can simplify surds and the like to create approximately equal values.
