It implies that cafeterias do not supply food, as in food as an edible product, hence the implied oxymoron.Jeezuz but you are frikkin' thick if you couldn't work that out !!!!

Can an oxymoron be implied? My friend says it has to be apparent, but I disagree. For instance, she posted on FB that “Dexter always gives me that warm, fuzzy feeling inside.” I said it was an oxymoron because Dexter is a cold [serial] killer, and should make her feel anything but warm and fuzzy. Women and their stupid arguments! LOL

The thing is, most school cafeterias do give food, just not something anyone would want to eat. Thus it is not worthy of the title “food”.  Making it not food, but something totally different. When you talk about getting some good food to eat you don’t say “I think i want to go to a High school and eat lunch there. Now that’s good food!” Because it just doesnt happen. Making “cafeteria food” an oxymoron. But its all based on your own view.
