    I grew up Republican as were my parents and we always have been very caring of people around  us, donating to many charities over the years!   I guess we will have to come up with another oxymoron like “Intelegent Liberal”

    Good examples of caring Republicans are Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King. Haven’t you noticed that they are two of the champions of the Republican party? I can come up with same caring Democrats too, but obviously you’re already convinced that Democrats have cornered the “caring” market.
