    If the event will occur once again, and so after, using the phrase “first annual” is correct. This is a way to let those interested that the event will happen again in the future.

    It only becomes an annual event if it happens more than one year. Calling it the “First (insert event name)” is sufficient notice that it is intended to happen again in the future.
