    A gourmet cannot be frugal because Gourmet food generally costs a lot! But, a Gourmet can be frugal as far the quantity he eats is concerned

    Well maybe at restaurants.  But the late Jeff Smith, since 1983/84, nailed this oxymoron on how to cook gourmet meals at home in a manner that is, well, frugal.  Long live the Frug!
