permanent consultant
I had a call from a recruiter regarding a tech job. He uses the phrase “permanent consultant” and I get immediately confused. I call him out on his usage of two words in the same sentence that aren’t normally heard together. He gets all pissy and ends the call quickly. I quickly give him a call back and explain that I had no idea what he was talking about. He tells me that a “permanent consultant” a a full time worker for his own agency that spends short lengths of time at different tech firms. Once you’re done with one assignment, you move right onto the next one. It sure would helped if he had explained his thoughts without using an oxymoron!
