so not true!
the word “oxymoron” IS AN OXYMORON!!!!!
from the greek words oxus and morus:
oxus meaning sharp and/or pointy
morus meaning dull and/or dulled.
sharply dull: “just war”between opposite words in my opinion.

if in the case that there WERE NO oxymorons:
we couldn’t say someone was looking “awfully good” tonight…without looking a fool ourselves!
we couldn’t say that we had “virgin sex” last night…without being called a “gay woman!”
we couldn’t say that something had “complex simplicity”…without being called “sharply dull!”
oxymoron: a figure of speech by which a locution produces an incongruous, seemingly self-contradictory effect, as in "cruel kindness" or "to make haste slowly."
