    I don't see this as any sort of oxymoron…a church is a building, and the people meeting inside it are independent of any religious denomination…who put this term on this list, anyway?

    no the word “non-denominational” is a oxymoron. You typically see this in churches that closely resemble Baptists. The word non-denominational is contradicting because by saying that it is non-denominational (or without name) is actually labeling. Get it?

    A church (local body of believers) without a statement of faith is not a Christian church. A church with a statement of faith belongs to a denomination of like-minded churches. There’s no such thing as a non-denominational church.
